Nancy Bhagat-Boyd, MA

My passion:

Starting—or restarting—therapy is a courageous step. It often means opening up parts of yourself that have long been protected, especially when navigating anxiety, sadness, or the weight of past experiences. Whether this is your first time seeking support or you’re returning to therapy, I want to warmly welcome you. You don’t have to carry it all on your own.

My passion for counseling comes from a deep belief in the healing power of relationships. I am continually inspired by the strength, resilience, and honesty of my clients. It’s a profound privilege to walk alongside individuals as they work through pain, build clarity, and move toward deeper connection—with themselves and others.

To that end, I specialize in working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, family and relationship dynamics, and life transitions. I help clients explore the roots of their challenges, build greater self-understanding, and develop meaningful tools for lasting change. My hope is to offer a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported—especially in seasons of uncertainty or overwhelm.

Therapeutic Approach:

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and personalized. I draw from person-centered, narrative, and multicultural frameworks, adapting our work to fit your unique story, needs, and goals. I’m committed to offering inclusive, culturally responsive care that honors your values, identity, and lived experiences. Wherever you are on your journey, I will meet you with empathy and respect.

Faith and Spiritual Integration:

As a Christian counselor, I welcome the integration of faith into the counseling process for clients who desire it. Your faith can be a source of strength, reflection, and grounding, and we can explore how it supports your healing and growth. This integration is always led by your preferences and shaped by what is meaningful to you.
